My name is Yi Gu. I am currently a graduate student in the department of mathematics of Northwestern University.

I am a probabilist. Particularly, I am interested in random graphs and percolation theory. I am also fascinated by problems in the intersection between probability and computer science.

The header image is a photograph of Chicago. I took that picture on the campus’ small island, near the Bonfire Pit, where people gather for campfire parties during the night. Northwestern is such a beautiful place. No matter how your life goes, the entire Michigan Lake is with you. Here is a photo of the sunrise taken on the shore.
